Chinese visa

Please note that due to Chinese public holiday the Chinese Consulate will be closed from 28th of January to 1st of February. If you are planning to visit China in the nearest future, we advise starting visa processing in advance in order to avoid any last minute processing and extra charges.

A smooth Chinese visa application process requires clear understanding of the step-by-step lodging procedure as well as the necessary set of the documents. Using our 10 years’ experience, Global Singapore ensures that all your forms are in the right order and completed in accordance with the standards of The Chinese Embassy, which minimises the processing time and possibility of visa rejection.

We advise you to apply for a visa approximately 1 month in advance, but not earlier than 3 months. Usually, a visa is issued for a period of 3 months. However, for some types of Chinese visa its validity can be 1 month or less; in this case it would be advisable to apply 2 weeks prior to your trip.

In order to apply for a Chinese visa you will need to go through a few steps:

Step 1

Please check whether you require a visa to enter China. Please note, if you are a holder of a French passport, you have to lodge the documents to the Chinese visa centre in person. Extra supporting documents will be required, too.

Step 2

Please check whether you have at least two empty pages in your passport and it is valid for at least six months from the date of exiting China.

Step 3

Once everything has been checked and you qualify for the previous 2 steps, please continue with the application process as described below.

Please choose the required visa type:

A tourist visa is granted for the purpose of tourism (sightseeing, leisure). For additional information, fees and the list of the required documents, please refer to the Tourist visa requirements and fees page.

A business visa is issued for those who is invited to China for business or trade purposes. For additional information, fees and the list of the required documents, please refer to the Business visa requirements and fees page.

A transit visa is granted when a passenger needs to travel through China, where their final destination is outside of China. For additional information, fees and the list of the required documents, please refer to the Transit visa requirements and fees page.

Step 4

Submit all the documents to Global Singapore, so we can process your visa:

  • In person at our office; please call us on (+65) 9387 7672 or (+65) 8722 1482 in order to book an appointment. Our opening hours are 8.00 to 18.00 Monday to Friday. Last appointment is at 17.30.
  • Send them by your own courier
  • Or we can arrange our courier to pick them up from you.
