Visa-free foreign visitors need South Korean ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) approval in order to obtain the boarding pass and to enter the Republic of Korea. K-ETA is valid for multiple trips over a period of 2 years. K-ETA only covers activities allowed under C-3 visa such as tourism, business meetings, discussions, conferences, short-term study with stay below 90 days, family visit etc. If your purpose of the visit is not covered under K-ETA or your nationality is not eligible for K-ETA, please apply for an appropriate visa.
Due to COVID-19, only nationals of 48 countries/regions where visa-free entry into South Korea is available are able to apply for K-ETA.
Nationals of the following countries are eligible to apply for a South Korean ETA. Albania, Andorra, Austria, Barbados, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech, Denmark, Dominica, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guyana, Holy See, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Caledonia, Nicaragua, Norway, Palau, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, St. Kitts-Nevis, St. Vincent, Sweden, Switzerland, UK-British Citizen (GBR), UK-British National Overseas (GBN), UK-British Overseas Citizen (GBO), UK-British Protected Person (GBP), UK-British Subject (GBS), Venezuela.
