A tourist visa to Japan is granted for a domestic helper holding a valid Singapore work permit accompanying her employer to Japan, for example, for taking care of her employer’s child(ren) during the trip or to assist elderly member(s) of the employer’s family. Domestic helpers intending to travel without their employers will not be eligible to apply for a visa in Singapore.
A tourist visa can be issued as a single or double-entry visa.
We can only accept applications from travellers whose departure date is at least 35 days (5 weeks) from the date of submission.
Applicants must agree to provide photocopies of pages showing Japanese entry and exit stamps after their trip as a part of the embassy’s verification process. Please note that failure to provide the required entry and exit stamp records may lead to future processing or immigration issues with the Japanese Embassy.
According to the rules of the Japanese embassy, travellers are expected to travel on their indicated dates, unless a valid medical or humanitarian reason is provided.
