• South Korean ETA

    Foreign visitors who are exempt from needing a visa for South Korea must obtain K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorisation) approval before traveling. K-ETA allows for multiple entries over a 3-year period and covers activities permitted under a C-3 visa, such as tourism, business meetings, and short-term stays. If your purpose of the visit is not covered under K-ETA or your nationality is not eligible for K-ETA, please apply for an appropriate visa.

    Nationals of 96 countries are eligible to apply for a South Korean ETA. You can the list and the allowed period of stay on our online application form. The list of countries is subject to change. Travellers are reminded to check this website regularly for updates.

    Required documents for a South Koreat ETA:

        Payment for a South Korean ETA

        Stripe allows you to make a payment with the majority of debit and credit cards or online wallets without the need to register.

        • Your approved ETA will be sent to the email address you provided during your application. Double-check your email address to ensure a smooth visa delivery – a typo could cause delays.
        • In case of delays or a visa refusal due to circumstances beyond our control or inaccuracies in the application form, the fee paid is non-refundable. This fee is designated for the processing of the application itself, and it is not dependent upon the outcome of the application.
        • K-ETA approval does not guarantee entry to the Republic of Korea. The final determination of a traveller’s entry will be made by the immigration official at the point of entry.
        • Providing false or inaccurate information on your K-ETA application will result in denial or cancellation of your K-ETA approval. This may also lead to penalties or restrictions on entering Korea according to South Korean law.
        • Even if your K-ETA has not expired, you are required to apply for a new K-ETA if there are any changes to your information, such as name, sex, date of birth, nationality, passport information (passport number, passport expiration date), infectious disease or criminal record.
        • Those with K-ETA approval can go through immigration more conveniently, as they will be exempted from submitting the arrival card upon entry.
