• Family visa to South Korea

    A family visa to South Korea is issued for those who are visiting their immediate family members who are Korean nationals for 90 days or less. Nationals from countries eligible for Electronic Travel Authorisation may apply for K-ETA instead. If you are fully vaccinated in Singapore, you may apply for quarantine exemption.     Travellers who are seeking entry into South Korea from 22 November 2021 onwards should submit through a travel agent appointed by the Embassy. Global Singapore has been appointed by the South Korean Embassy to submit visa applications on the applicant’s behalf.

    Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) travel

    • The traveller must be fully vaccinated in Singapore with WHO Emergency Use Listing (EUL) COVID-19 vaccines for at least two weeks before arrival in Korea. Travellers who have their overseas vaccination records ingested in Singapore MOH system are not allowed to use VTL. This also applies to travellers who are fully vaccinated overseas and took one booster shot in Singapore.
    • The traveller must remain in Singapore or Korea for at least 14 days consecutively prior to travel.
    • Accompanying children below the age of 6 who are unvaccinated are eligible to travel to Korea via VTL and are exempted from quarantine. Unvaccinated children age 6 years and above may enter Korea but would be subjected to quarantine for 10 days.
    • The traveller must take a direct flight operated by Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Singapore Airlines or Scoot from Singapore to Korea.

    Non-VTL travel

    You are allowed to submit a visa application for non-VTL travel. Kindly indicate “Non-VTL” on the visa application form (top right hand corner). However, only business visa, family visit visa application for non-VTL travel is allowed at the moment. The traveller will be subject to a 10-day quarantine.

    Procedure for application is the same. Applicants who are not eligible for VTL are not required to complete the Agreement to VTL Terms and Conditions.

    Required documents for a family visa to South Korea

    • Completed and signed visa application form.
    • 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background (shoulders must be covered!) – can be arranged in our office.
    • Original passport with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the validity of the visa and with one empty page for stamping the visa.
    • NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP (original and copy). For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only)
    • Explanation letter regarding visit to Korea (written by applicant or Korean family member).
    • Official family relations certificate (가족관계증명서) issued within recent 3 months.
    • Health Condition Report Form (to be completed by the applicant).
    • Agreement to facility quarantine (to be completed by the applicant). To be completed even if you are travelling via VTL or eligible for quarantine exemption.
    • Agreement to VTL Terms and Conditions (applicable if you are travelling to Korea via VTL).
    • Travellers must purchase travel insurance (not required for visa submission) with a minimum coverage of 30 million won (approximately SGD 34,000) for COVID-19 related medical/treatment expenses and hospitalisation cost. The traveller must carry a physical copy of the insurance policy when travelling to Korea.
    • Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.
