  • Family visa to South Korea

    A family visa to South Korea is issued for those who are visiting their immediate family members who are Korean nationals for 90 days or less. If you wish to visit your immediate family member who holds an Alien Registration Card in Korea, please refer to this link (click) instead. Nationals from countries eligible for Electronic Travel Authorisation may apply for K-ETA instead. If you are fully vaccinated in Singapore, you may apply for quarantine exemption.     Travellers who are seeking entry into South Korea from 22 November 2021 onwards should submit through a travel agent appointed by the Embassy. Global Singapore has been appointed by the South Korean Embassy to submit visa applications on the applicant’s behalf.

    • The applicant should be fully vaccinated with WHO Emergency Use Listing (EUL) vaccines with the 2nd dose taken between 15 to 180 days of departure.
    • If the 2nd dose was taken more than 180 days ago, a booster dose is required.
    • A person who contracted COVID-19 after receiving 2 doses of vaccine can be considered as fully vaccinated without taking the booster dose if he/she can provide a proof of recovery for verification.
    • Unvaccinated children below the age of 6 may be exempted from quarantine if accompanied by a fully-vaccinated adult.
    • The person is not required to remain in a certain country for a certain period of time before travel.
    • Pre-departure PCR test must be taken within 2 days of departure.
    • Travellers must upload their vaccination records and pre-departure PCR test result onto Q-Code System prior to departure. A QR code will be issued to the traveller’s email after registration. The Q-Code is valid for one-time entry. Therefore, you need to register for Q-Code before every entry. If you require clarifications on Q-Code or assistance with any technical difficulties, please contact Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) at +82-2-2633-1339. We will not be able to assist you with the Q-Code.
    • Take an On-Arrival PCR Test (ART is not allowed).​ Children below the age of 6 may be tested at the discretion of the testing officials.
    • Proceed to your accommodation for isolation pending test result. You may proceed to your accommodation in Korea by public transport (i.e bus, train, AREX, KTX), taxi, private vehicle or domestic flight to isolate while waiting for the result of your on-arrival PCR test.​
    • Self-administered ART on day 6 or 7 (arrival day is day 1)​. Reporting of result is not required if negative. In case of a positive result, please contact KDCA at +82-2-2633-1339 or a public health centre immediately. You will be given further instructions from there.

    Required documents for a family visa to South Korea

    • Arrange your documents in the order according to the checklist.
    • All documents should be printed or photocopied on A4-sized paper.
    • Separate all the application documents for different applicants into individual sets.
    • NO staples/pins/paper clips should be used on documents.

    • Completed and signed visa application form.
    • 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background (shoulders must be covered!) – can be arranged in our office.
    • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP (original and copy). For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only)
    • Explanation letter regarding visit to Korea (written by applicant or Korean family member).
    • Official family relations certificate (가족관계증명서) issued within recent 3 months.
    • Health Condition Report Form (to be completed by the applicant).
    • Consent for isolation (to be completed by the applicant).
    • Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.
