    • Short Term Employment Visa to South Korea

    A short-term employment visa to South Korea is issued to foreign nationals who intend to work in Korea for 90 days or less. Its validity is 3 months (single entry).

    Processing update as of 1st Sept 2026

    Please be informed that Global Singapore Associates will cease accepting and submitting South Korea visa applications with effect from 1 September 2026.

    This change follows the announcement by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Singapore regarding the transition to a new visa application process. As a result, agent submission is no longer accepted.

    However, we still assist clients with document checking, application preparation, and guidance to ensure that the required documents are properly prepared before submission. Please note that the final submission of the visa application will need to be made directly through the South Korea Visa Centre.

    Global Singapore Associates will continue to accept South Korea visa applications submitted on or before 28 August 2026, subject to the applicable processing requirements.

    Applicants intending to apply through Global Singapore Associates are therefore advised to submit their applications before the final submission date.

    Required documents for a short-term employment visa to South Korea

    For the required documents, please click on the relevant job category:

    • Arrange your documents in the order according to the checklist.
    • All documents should be printed or photocopied on A4-sized paper.
    • Separate all the application documents for different applicants into individual sets.
    • NO staples/pins/paper clips should be used on documents.

    Work onboard vessel / in shipyard or vessel inspection

    • Visa application form. Completed and signed visa application form. It must be signed by hand (wet signature in blue ink).
    • Photograph. 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. You cannot wear a white top; the top must have sleeves. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport. Original and copy with at least 6 months validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • Copy of NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP for non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted. The printout must show the access date at the top and the bottom. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only).
    • Company letter. Letter issued by Singapore company to verify your employment status such as designation, salary, date of hire, date and purpose of visit (original with wet signature/stamp and issued within recent 1 month). LOC (Letter of Consent) issued by MOM is required if you are LTVP / LTVP+ holder.
    • Invitation letter. Invitation letter issued by a Korean company (fax or scanned copy is acceptable). It must include information like the date of the visit, the purpose of the visit, duration of the visit.
    • Certificate of Business Registration of Korean company (사업자등록증명). It must have been issued within recent 3 months. The Korean company may obtain the document from www.hometax.go.kr.
    • Contract mentioning the provision of manpower or supervision work (a scanned copy is acceptable).
    • Global Singapore visa order form. Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.
    • Document checklist.

    Dispatch to Korea under service contract

    • Visa application form. Completed and signed visa application form. It must be signed by hand (wet signature in blue ink).
    • Photograph. 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. You cannot wear a white top; the top must have sleeves. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • Copy of NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP for non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use the “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted. The printout must show the access date at the top and the bottom. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only)
    • Company letter. Letter issued by Singapore company to verify your employment status such as designation, salary, date of hire, date and purpose of visit (original with wet signature/stamp and issued within recent 1 month).     Performance in accordance to Public Performance Act

    • Visa application form. Completed and signed visa application form. It must be signed by hand (wet signature in blue ink).
    • Photograph. 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. You cannot wear a white top; the top must have sleeves. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport. Original and copy with at least 6 months validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • Copy of NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP for non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use the “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted. The printout must show the access date at the top and the bottom. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only).
    • Recommendation letter from Korea Media Rating Board.
    • Performance outline.
    • Global Singapore visa order form. Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.
    • Document checklist.

    Work in e-business, IT, biotechnology, nanotechnology, advanced materials industry...etc

    • Visa application form. Completed and signed visa application form. It must be signed by hand (wet signature in blue ink).
    • Photograph. 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. You cannot wear a white top; the top must have sleeves. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport. Original and copy with at least 6 months validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • Copy of NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP for non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use the “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information.     • Employment recommendation letter from the respective department (affiliated organisations).
    • Business Registration of Korean company. Certificate of Business Registration of Korean company (사업자등록증명) must have been issued within recent 3 months. The Korean company may obtain the document from www.hometax.go.kr.

    Participate in competitions and matches in exchange for wages (excluding prize money)

    • Visa application form. Completed and signed visa application form. It must be signed by hand (wet signature in blue ink).
    • Photograph. 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. You cannot wear a white top; the top must have sleeves. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport. Original and copy with at least 6 months validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • Copy of NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP for non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use the “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information.     An expert in relevant area or university instructor who lectures/researches on the basis of a contract for remuneration

    • Visa application form. Completed and signed visa application form. It must be signed by hand (wet signature in blue ink).
    • Photograph. 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. You cannot wear a white top; the top must have sleeves. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport. Original and copy with at least 6 months validity beyond the validity of the visa.
