• Short Term Employment Visa to South Korea

    A short-term employment visa to South Korea is issued to foreign nationals who intend to work in Korea for 90 days or less. Its validity is 3 months (single entry).

    Travellers who are seeking entry into South Korea must submit through a travel agent appointed by the Embassy. Global Singapore has been appointed by the South Korean Embassy to submit visa applications on the applicant’s behalf.

    • The applicant should be fully vaccinated with WHO Emergency Use Listing (EUL) vaccines with the 2nd dose taken between 15 to 180 days of departure.
    • If the 2nd dose was taken more than 180 days ago, a booster dose is required.
    • A person who contracted COVID-19 after receiving 2 doses of vaccine can be considered as fully vaccinated without taking the booster dose if he/she can provide a proof of recovery for verification.
    • Unvaccinated children below the age of 6 may be exempted from quarantine if accompanied by a fully-vaccinated adult.
    • The person is not required to remain in a certain country for a certain period of time before travel.
    • Pre-departure PCR test must be taken within 2 days of departure.
    • Travellers must upload their vaccination records and pre-departure PCR test result onto Q-Code System prior to departure. A QR code will be issued to the traveller’s email after registration. The Q-Code is valid for one-time entry. Therefore, you need to register for Q-Code before every entry. If you require clarifications on Q-Code or assistance with any technical difficulties, please contact Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) at +82-2-2633-1339. We will not be able to assist you with the Q-Code.
    • Take an On-Arrival PCR Test (ART is not allowed).​ Children below the age of 6 may be tested at the discretion of the testing officials.
    • Proceed to your accommodation for isolation pending test result. You may proceed to your accommodation in Korea by public transport (i.e bus, train, AREX, KTX), taxi, private vehicle or domestic flight to isolate while waiting for the result of your on-arrival PCR test.​
    • Self-administered ART on day 6 or 7 (arrival day is day 1)​. Reporting of result is not required if negative. In case of a positive result, please contact KDCA at +82-2-2633-1339 or a public health centre immediately. You will be given further instructions from there.

    Required documents for a short-term employment visa to South Korea

    • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP (original and copy) For non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only)
    • Letter issued by Singapore company to verify your employment status such as designation, salary, date of hire, date and purpose of visit (original and issued within recent 1 month). LOC (Letter of Consent) issued by MOM is required if you are LTVP / LTVP+ holder.
    • Invitation letter issued by Korean company (fax or scan copy is acceptable). It must include information like date of visit, the purpose of visit, duration of visit and reason why the physical presence of the applicant is required despite COVID-19 situation.
    • Certificate of Business Registration of Korean company (사업자등록증명). It must have been issued within recent 3 months. The Korean company may obtain the document from www.hometax.go.kr.
    • Contract mentioning the provision of manpower or supervision work (a scanned copy is acceptable).
    • Health Condition Report Form (to be completed by the applicant).
    • Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.

    Dispatch to Korea under service contract

    • Completed and signed visa application form.
    • 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP (original and copy) for non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only)
    • Letter issued by Singapore company to verify your employment status such as designation, salary, date of hire, date and purpose of visit (original and issued within recent 1 month). LOC (Letter of Consent) issued by MOM is required if you are LTVP / LTVP+ holder.
    • Invitation letter issued by Korean company (fax or scan copy is acceptable). It must include information like date of visit, the purpose of visit, duration of visit and reason why the physical presence of the applicant is required despite COVID-19 situation. If you are self-employed, the latest printout of the ACRA biz profile.
    • Certificate of Business Registration of Korean company (사업자등록증명). It must have been issued within recent 3 months. The Korean company may obtain the document from www.hometax.go.kr.
    • Contract (a scanned copy is acceptable).
    • Health Condition Report Form (to be completed by the applicant).
    • Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.

    Performance in accordance to Public Performance Act

    • Completed and signed visa application form.
    • 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP (original and copy) for non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only)
    • Recommendation letter from Korea Media Rating Board.
    • Performance outline.
    • Health Condition Report Form (to be completed by the applicant).
    • Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.

    Work in e-business, IT, biotechnology, nanotechnology, advanced materials industry...etc

    • Completed and signed visa application form.
    • 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP (original and copy) For non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only).
    • Employment recommendation letter from respective department (affiliated organisations).
    • Certificate of Business Registration of Korean company (사업자등록증명). It must have been issued within recent 3 months. The Korean company may obtain the document from www.hometax.go.kr.
    • Employment contract.
    • Health Condition Report Form (to be completed by the applicant).
    • Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.

    Participate in competitions and matches in exchange for wages (excluding prize money)

    • Completed and signed visa application form.
    • 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP (original and copy) For non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only).
    • Invitation card or attendance confirmation issued by host institution.
    • Contract that indicates wages / incentives for participation.
    • Health Condition Report Form (to be completed by the applicant).
    • Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.

    An expert in relevant area or university instructor who lectures/researches on the basis of a contract for remuneration

    • Completed and signed visa application form.
    • 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP (original and copy) For non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information.     • Employment contract for lecture / research in Korea.
    • Health Condition Report Form (to be completed by the applicant).
    • Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.

    Other purposes not defined above

    • Completed and signed visa application form.
