    • Short Term Employment Visa to South Korea

    A short-term employment visa to South Korea is issued to foreign nationals who intend to work in Korea for 90 days or less. Its validity is 3 months (single entry).

    Travellers who are seeking entry into South Korea must submit through a travel agent appointed by the Embassy. Global Singapore has been appointed by the South Korean Embassy to submit visa applications on the applicant’s behalf.

    Required documents for a short-term employment visa to South Korea

    For the required documents, please click on the relevant job category:

    • Arrange your documents in the order according to the checklist.
    • All documents should be printed or photocopied on A4-sized paper.
    • Separate all the application documents for different applicants into individual sets.
    • NO staples/pins/paper clips should be used on documents.

    Work onboard vessel / in shipyard or vessel inspection

    • Completed and signed visa application form. It must be signed by hand (wet signature in blue ink).
    • 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. You cannot wear a white top; the top must have sleeves. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • Copy of NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP for non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted. The printout must show the access date at the top and the bottom. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only).
    • Letter issued by Singapore company to verify your employment status such as designation, salary, date of hire, date and purpose of visit (original and issued within recent 1 month). LOC (Letter of Consent) issued by MOM is required if you are LTVP / LTVP+ holder.
    • Invitation letter issued by a Korean company (fax or scanned copy is acceptable). It must include information like the date of the visit, the purpose of the visit, duration of the visit.
    • Certificate of Business Registration of Korean company (사업자등록증명). It must have been issued within recent 3 months. The Korean company may obtain the document from www.hometax.go.kr.
    • Contract mentioning the provision of manpower or supervision work (a scanned copy is acceptable).
    • Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.
    • Document checklist.

    Dispatch to Korea under service contract

    • Completed and signed visa application form. It must be signed by hand (wet signature).
    • 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. You cannot wear a white top; the top must have sleeves. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • Copy of NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP for non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use the “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted. The printout must show the access date at the top and the bottom. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only)
    • Letter issued by Singapore company to verify your employment status such as designation, salary, date of hire, date, and purpose of visit (issued within recent 1 month). LOC (Letter of Consent) issued by MOM is required if you are LTVP / LTVP+ holder.
    • Invitation letter issued by a Korean company (fax or scanned copy is acceptable). It must include information like the date of the visit, the purpose of the visit, and the duration of the visit.
    • Certificate of Business Registration of Korean company (사업자등록증명). It must have been issued within recent 3 months. The Korean company may obtain the document from www.hometax.go.kr.
    • Contract (a scanned copy is acceptable).
    • Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.
    • Document checklist.

    Performance in accordance to Public Performance Act

    • Completed and signed visa application form. It must be signed by hand (wet signature in blue ink).
    • 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. You cannot wear a white top; the top must have sleeves. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • Copy of NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP for non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use the “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted. The printout must show the access date at the top and the bottom. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only).
    • Recommendation letter from Korea Media Rating Board.
    • Performance outline.
    • Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.
    • Document checklist.

    Work in e-business, IT, biotechnology, nanotechnology, advanced materials industry...etc

    • Completed and signed visa application form. It must be signed by hand (wet signature in blue ink).
    • 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. You cannot wear a white top; the top must have sleeves. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • Copy of NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP for non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use the “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information.     • Employment recommendation letter from the respective department (affiliated organisations).
    • Certificate of Business Registration of Korean company (사업자등록증명). It must have been issued within recent 3 months. The Korean company may obtain the document from www.hometax.go.kr.
    • Employment contract.
    • Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.
    • Document checklist.

    Participate in competitions and matches in exchange for wages (excluding prize money)

    • Completed and signed visa application form. It must be signed by hand (wet signature in blue ink).
    • 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. You cannot wear a white top; the top must have sleeves. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • Copy of NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP for non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use the “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information.     • Invitation card or attendance confirmation issued by the host institution.
    • Contract that indicates wages / incentives for participation.

    An expert in relevant area or university instructor who lectures/researches on the basis of a contract for remuneration

    • Completed and signed visa application form. It must be signed by hand (wet signature in blue ink).
    • 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office. You cannot wear a white top; the top must have sleeves. The photo must be glued to the application form.
    • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months validity beyond the validity of the visa.
    • Copy of NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP for non-Singaporeans. For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information.     • Passport (original and copy) with at least 6 months validity beyond the validity of the visa.

      Processing time for a short-term employment visa to South Korea:

      • Visa processing time for all types of visas is 5 working days excluding the submission day.
      • Urgent service is not available.
