• New Zealand ETA

A New Zealand ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) allows holders of eligible nationalities the ability to visit New Zealand without a visa.

A New Zealand ETA is valid for multiple journeys to New Zealand within 2 years (5 years for crew members) from the date of issuance, provided the applicant’s passport remains valid. You will be allowed to stay in New Zealand for up to 3 months at a time (6 months for UK nationals). You can only be in New Zealand for up to 6 months within any 12-month period.

Eligibility for a New Zealand ETA

    • Complete an online application form.
    • Digital passport copy (bio-page).
    • Digital colour photo on a white background.
    • You may not be allowed to visit or transit New Zealand if you do not meet the good character requirements. If you are not sure you will meet the requirements — for example you have a criminal conviction — you should apply for a visa and have one before you travel. Applying must be done in person at the NZ consulate – we will not be able to assist with that.
    • If you already have a current New Zealand visa, you do not need an New Zealand ETA.
    • You can apply if you nationality is in the list of the Visa Waver Country (see the “Who can apply” tab).
    • If you are arriving by sea as a cruise ship passenger, you must have an NZ ETA. You can be any nationality in this case.

If you are coming for medical treatment or consultation, you must have a Medical Treatment Visitor Visa before you travel (unless you are an Australian permanent resident).

If you are coming to study in New Zealand for up to 3 months and you travel on a passport from a country on the list of visa waiver countries, you can request an New Zealand ETA before you travel (unless you are an Australian permanent resident).

If you are coming to work in New Zealand you cannot use an ETA to travel to New Zealand — except for some specialist and business activities.

Normally you cannot use an NZeTA to travel to New Zealand to work — except for business meetings.

If you are transiting through Auckland International Airport on your way to another country you do not have to apply for a visa if you are from a transit visa waiver country. You have to apply for an ETA if you have a passport from a transit visa waiver country or visa waiver countries. You can only wait in the transit area for up to 24 hours. You cannot visit New Zealand.

ETA to New Zealand, normal service, 5-6 working days, 99 SGD

ETA to New Zealand, urgent service, 3-4 working days, 129 SGD

      • Please note: An additional 5% will be added to the total amount as this is what we are being charged by the banks for transactions.

      • The approved ETA will be sent to the email address you provided during your application. Double-check your email address to ensure a smooth visa delivery – a typo could cause delays.
      • In case of delays or a refusal of an ETA due to circumstances beyond our control or inaccuracies in the application form, the fee paid is non-refundable. This fee is designated for the processing of the application itself, and it is not dependent upon the outcome of the application.
      • The ultimate decision on granting of an ETA rests with NZ Immigration. Similar to visa procedures in other countries, obtaining an ETA to New Zealand does not equate to an immigration pass; it serves as pre-entry authorization for the ETA holder to travel to and request entry into New Zealand. The decision to grant an immigration pass is at the discretion of the passport control officer at the point of entry. It’s important to note that merely possessing a valid ETA does not assure entry into New Zealand.
      • The information given in your application must be complete and accurate. Any incorrect information, including passport details, may result in the refusal of a visa.
