• Vietnamese Embassy legalisation

Vietnamese Embassy legalisation, also called consular authentication or certification, refers to a consular practice ensuring the authenticity of the very last signature or the seal affixed to a document related to the application from a natural person, legal person or other organisation. In accordance with international practice and the consular practice established in Vietnam, the purpose of consular authentication is to ensure that notarial deeds issued in one country have due legal effect and can be acknowledged by the relevant authorities in another country with no question as to their authenticity.

Vietnamese Embassies and Consulate-Generals are responsible for legalising notarised deeds to be used in Vietnam and other documents.

    • The documents first need to be notarised by a Singapore Notary Public and authenticated by the Singapore Academy of Law and notarised the Singapore Academy of Law – we can help with these steps – please, enquire during application.
    • For power of Attorney, the document needs to be in the English language only or in dual languages (English and Vietnamese) on the same document.
    • We can also assist with translating the documents into Vietnamese and certifying the translation by the embassy.
