• Business visa to South Korea

    A business visa to South Korea is issued for those who are invited to South Korea for business matters. Its validity is 3 months (single entry). Nationals from countries eligible for Electronic Travel Authorisation may apply for K-ETA instead.

    Travellers who are seeking entry into South Korea must submit through a travel agent appointed by the Embassy. Global Singapore has been appointed by the South Korean Embassy to submit visa applications on the applicant’s behalf.

    VTL update, 28/12/2021

    To mitigate the risk of omicron variant, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has announced that travellers who will purchase air tickets for entry in Korea from Singapore between 29 December 2021, 0000hrs and 20 January 2022, 2359hrs would not be eligible to make use of VTL arrangement and to be exempted from quarantine.

    Travellers who already hold valid tickets and meet all other conditions for travel under the VTL will not be affected and may continue to enter Korea under the VTL.

    Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) travel

    • Travellers using Vaccinated Travel Lane from Singapore to South Korea are exempted from the 10-day quarantine.
    • The traveller must be fully vaccinated​ with WHO Emergency Use Listing (EUL) COVID-19 vaccines with at least one dose taken in Singapore for minimum two weeks before arrival in Korea and has the vaccination certificate with QR code obtained from Notarise.
    • The traveller must remain in Singapore or Korea for at least 14 days consecutively prior to travel.
    • Accompanying children below the age of 6 who are unvaccinated are eligible to travel to Korea via VTL and are exempted from quarantine. Unvaccinated children age 6 years and above may enter Korea but would be subjected to quarantine for 10 days.
    • The traveller must take a direct flight operated by Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Singapore Airlines or Scoot from Singapore to Korea.

    Non-VTL travel

    You are allowed to submit a visa application for non-VTL travel. Kindly indicate “Non-VTL” on the visa application form (top right hand corner). However, only business visa application for non-VTL travel is allowed at the moment. The traveller will be subject to a 10-day quarantine.

    Procedure for application is the same. Applicants who are not eligible for VTL are not required to complete the Agreement to VTL Terms and Conditions.

    Required documents for a business visa to South Korea

    • Completed and signed visa application form.
    • 1 recent passport-size colour photograph on a white background – can be arranged in our office.
    • Original passport with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the validity of the visa and with one empty page for stamping the visa.
    • NRIC/EP/Spass/WP/LTVP/DP (original and copy). For work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use “SGWORKPASS” app to obtain your pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only)

    One of the following (click on + for details):

    • Letter issued by Singapore company to verify your employment status such as designation, salary, date of hire, date and purpose of visit (original and issued within recent 1 month). LOC (Letter of Consent) issued by MOM is required if you are LTVP / LTVP+ holder.
    • If you are self-employed: latest printout of ACRA biz profile.

    • Invitation letter issued by Korean company (fax or scan copy is acceptable). It must include information like date of visit, purpose of visit, duration of visit and reason why the physical presence of the applicant is required despite COVID-19 situation.
    • Certificate of Business Registration of Korean company (사업자등록증명). It must have been issued within recent 3 months. The Korean company may obtain the document from www.hometax.go.kr.
    • Health Condition Report Form (to be completed by the applicant).
    • Consent for isolation (to be completed by the applicant).
    • Agreement to VTL Terms and Conditions (applicable if you are travelling to Korea via VTL).
    • Travellers must purchase travel insurance (not required for visa submission) with a minimum coverage of 30 million won (approximately SGD 34,000) for COVID-19 related medical/treatment expenses and hospitalisation cost. The traveller must carry a physical copy of the insurance policy when travelling to Korea.
    • Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.
