• Tourist visa to South Korea for a domestic helper

A tourist visa to South Korea is granted for a domestic helper accompanying her employer to South Korea for example, for taking care of her employer’s child(ren) during the trip or to assist elderly member(s) of the employer’s family. A domestic helper must be hired by the employer for at least 6 months at the time of visa application in order to be eligible. A domestic helper is allowed to enter Korea once a year (i.e every 12 months) and the employer is allowed to bring one domestic helper per trip.

In general, every employer/family is allowed to bring one domestic helper per trip. However, if there is any compelling reason to bring two helpers to Korea, the employer may submit 2 applications at the same time. The employer is required to provide supporting document(s) to prove the necessity.

Travellers who are seeking entry into South Korea must submit through a travel agent appointed by the Embassy. Global Singapore has been appointed by the South Korean Embassy to submit visa applications on the applicant’s behalf.

Please note, we work on a pre-booked appointment basis only to ensure efficient and professional assistance to each of our clients. Please, scroll down to book an appointment.
