A language training visa to South Korea is issued to foreign nationals who wish to study the Korean language in Korea. A D-4 visa is issued in single entry only and is valid for 3 months. This means that you would need to enter Korea within 3 months of its issuance or else the visa will lapse. Upon entry into Korea, the duration of stay would start to count. The duration of stay will be issued in strict accordance with the duration of studies as listed on the admission certificate (eg. if the duration of studies is 4 months, the duration of stay to be issued would be 4 months). The Embassy would not be able to issue you extra days to accommodate your personal needs.
If you will stay in Korea for more than 90 days, you are required to apply for Alien Registration Card (ARC) at a local immigration office in Korea within 90 days of your arrival. Upon the completion of your studies, the ARC must be returned to the immigration office or immigration officer at the departure airport. Failure to do so will result in a fine. The Embassy does not issue/extend ARC nor assist with the return of ARC.
Travellers who are seeking entry into South Korea must submit through a travel agent appointed by the Embassy. Global Singapore has been appointed by the South Korean Embassy to submit visa applications on the applicant’s behalf.
