    • Tourist visa to Taiwan

    A tourist visa to Taiwan is granted for the purpose of tourism and leisure or visiting relatives in Taiwan. It is applicable for the intended stay of more than 30 days but less than 6 months.

    • Please note, nationals of People’s Republic of China and Sri Lanka must submit their application to the consulate in person.

    Required documents for a tourist visa to Taiwan:

    Main documents:

    • General visa application form. All visa applications must be applied using an online visa form only.
    • 2 recent passport-size colour photographs on a white background – can be arranged in our office. You cannot wear a white top; the top must have sleeves.
    • Original passport with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the validity of the visa and with 2 empty pages for stamping the visa.
    • Copy of a passport biopage.
    • Original and copy of a Residence permit for EP, PR, DP and S-Pass holders or Re-entry Permit for PR holders. For a new employment pass with a QR code instead of an expiry date, you must provide a printout of the validity and expiry status which can be obtained with a free SGWorkPass app (available on App Store and Google Play). The printout must show the access date at the top and the bottom.
    • An employment letter from the applicant’s employer indicating the salary and purpose of visit to Taiwan OR a bank account statement/passbook. All pages of the statement must be included. The minimum amount required for a visa application is 3,000 SGD.
    • Global Singapore visa order form. Completed and signed Global Singapore visa order form.
    • Document checklist.

    Additional documents:

      • For visiting relatives, a proof of relationship between an applicant and a relative in Taiwan (birth certificate or Taiwan resident household certificate) and photocopy of the relative’s passport, a resident status in Taiwan (identity card, Alien Resident Certificate (ARC)), and an invitation letter from a relative.
      • For applicants who are former nationals of the Peoples’ Republic of China (PRC), documents that can prove that you have left PRC for a duration of 4 years and more.
      • For passport holders of Bangladesh, Pakistan, China and Sri Lanka, the applicant will have to appear in person at the Taiwan Representative Office in Singapore to submit their biometrics.

      • All fees and charges are subject to prevailing GST.

      Processing time for a tourist visa to Taiwan:

      • Regular service is 3 working days once we submit the documents to the consulate.
      • Urgent service is 2 working days once we submit the documents to the consulate.

      For special cases and when concurrence is required from the ROC’s (Taiwan’s) Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), the processing time will depend on the time taken by the MOFA to complete verification and approval.
